Surviving Wayne
I find that it is a full time job surviving myself. I and my quirks and imperfections will be the fall of me. Thanks to God, my Creator, Protector, and Savior, survival is immanent.

Smacks-a-lot Rides Again
I have been wanting to share some news with everyone. I have seen the esteemed "Lady Smacks-a-lot" again. She works at the Walmart on South Tryon. I have actually seen her a few times.

The first time I saw her was around the end of November. I ran to Walmart during my lunch break. I was in the check out lane when I heard that voice... that voice that I will never forget as long as I live. I looked over and there she was, wearing a Walmart smock. She was opening the check out lane next to the one I was in. Who would have thought that she would be in customer service?

I have seen her a few times since. Paula was lucky enough to see her too. For those who do not know what I am talking about, you need to read my post from 10/03/06 describing Paula's surgery day.

Paula, Jason, and I are going to start filling the role as the praise band for Charlotte Temple. The CO approached me after we had done p&w for the Sunday of New Years Eve.

I have lost 20 pounds since Paula's surgery. We have made major lifestyle changes. We eat quite a bit healthier and amounts less than the average American. We have both joined gyms. I actually haven't gone yet, but I will be going tomorrow for the first time. I am going to work out every weekday morning at 6am.

I apologize for the seemingly post full of ramblings. I will organize my thoughts a little more next time. I will actually post again in a few days. I have to get on my soap box about something.

Anyway... I am surviving.

Paula and I both love this show. It is a remake of the 70's action television show. We haven't seen it in forever since the Writers Guild Strike. How sad!!

Listening

Harry Connick, JR

Harry Connick Jr's newest album, "Oh, My Nola" is full of music from New Orleans or written by artists from New Orleans. Since Paula and I lived in New Orleans, it is special to us. We actually got to see the concert for this album live. It was great. You have got to check this out!
