Surviving Wayne
I find that it is a full time job surviving myself. I and my quirks and imperfections will be the fall of me. Thanks to God, my Creator, Protector, and Savior, survival is immanent.

Time Flies
Yet again I find myself feeling a tad guilty for not blogging. Paula and I recently started using MySpace. We don't blog there, but use it to just "hang out" with friends who are not really near us.

Anyway... so what has happened since I've last opened my life to the world wide web? I have battled with Tendonitis in my left foot/ankle over the past month or more. I got a severe sunburn while visiting Myrtle Beach. I've seen the three top movies of the summer: Spiderman 3, Shrek The Third, and Pirates Of The Carribean At World's End.

Of course some things never change and are constant... like right now, Paula is looking over my shoulder and giving me unsolicited corrections to my grammar and watching my spelling.

Just kidding... no she really is looking over my shoulder, but what still has not changed in the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

There has been a song playing on the radio lately on the Christian station. I must admit that I usually don't always focus on words of songs as much as the arrangement of the song, color of the tones, or use of the instruments. I say that to say this: Jason asked me if I had heard a song called "Bring The Rain" by Mercy Me. I really couldn't remember the song. Jason sent me the song and, as I listened to it, I recognized the music.

The words really spoke to me. So tonight, instead of letting you know that "I will survive," I leave you with the words to that song.

"Bring The Rain"
I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray
Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty

Paula and I both love this show. It is a remake of the 70's action television show. We haven't seen it in forever since the Writers Guild Strike. How sad!!

Listening

Harry Connick, JR

Harry Connick Jr's newest album, "Oh, My Nola" is full of music from New Orleans or written by artists from New Orleans. Since Paula and I lived in New Orleans, it is special to us. We actually got to see the concert for this album live. It was great. You have got to check this out!
